Final Post

So we've come to end of the term and our teacher asked us to write a final blog post.  Actually my ideas about technology integration in English language teaching did not change because i always think that it takes a really important place when it comes to teaching a foreign language. But this lesson surely brought me new horizons about the tools we can use or things we can do and they are all so beneficial when both learning and teaching. It taught me lots of websites and how we can utilize them. My favourite task was creating a poster, converting the book we read into a movie. I really had so much fun preparing it because i like creating visual things, especially posters like it. I actually did not like the task "creating an infographic" because i get really bored when it comes to statistic and all of that.  My suggestion is that there can be more websites and tools we can see throughout the term, it may mean more tasks but i'd be more happy to see more tools and l...

Digital Storytelling

Our new task is creating a digital story.  Digital storytelling at its most basic core is the practice of using computer-based tools to tell stories. We had 3 options. We chose the "how to do" one. I teamed up with Yaren Topçu and Rabia Yüksel. We decided on "How to Meditate in 7 Simple Steps" topic. Yaren wrote the lines, Rabia did the vocalization and I created the video. Adobe Premier Pro 2020 was the tool I am familiar with so I used it to create and edit the video. There are lots of benefist of digital storytelling in language classes. It can make you raise awareness about some kind of topic or make you learn something like we did there. It also helps you improve your language.  Blog of my teammates:  Rabia Yüksel   Yaren Topçu

Infographics

Full Resolution Our new task is creating an infographic about online higher education in Turkey. I used Canva tool to create mine. I had hard time trying to find statistical information about the topic but i was able to go through some articles. I think creating an infographic is really useful for language learnes because it compelles learners to do research, they read articles in foreign languages, or they just translate them into the language they are learning. This is a great way to improve language skills.
