Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. I hope you're all healthy. I've come back with our new course, Material Design. We will start with new tasks and more. Stay tuned!
Hi everybody. Our new task is creating a flipped vocabulary teaching video for young EFL learners. Our aim is to reverse the traditional classroom procedure by delivering the instructional content online before class so that during class time, learners engage in problem solving or cooperative-learning tasks under the guidance of the instructor. We created an vocabulary teaching video, using Animaker and an exercise, using Wordwall. My teammates Yaren and Rabia narrated the video and i created the animation and edited it. With flipped vocabulary teaching video, learners feel ready to class and this help them focus on the subject. This is also a great way to reduce the time spent on teacher's explaining the subject. However, some students may not watch the video and cannot keep up with their peers. I would also love to use this system when i become a teacher. We chose 5th grade textbook to create this video. It's about daily routines. My friends Yaren and Rabia created a...
Hi! Our final assignment is creating a webquest. The task was to redesign a project to make it technology-integrated. My teammates were Rabia and Yaren. We chose our project from MEB's Preparatory Class Student's Book. Here are the original project steps: - Prepare your own poster about how to protect our nature and write your slogan on it as in the examples below. - Then, present your poster to your friends. The original project was creating a poster which is composed of a slogan and a visual. We changed it with creating an infographic which involves visuals and data. If a student wants to create a infographic, he/she needs to do a research before, collect data and visuals to use, and present it with their own words which enables them to facilitate their language skills. There are also options for them to choose, they have some websites to search, videos to watch in order to collect data. Also, the original project does not have any "problem" to solve. Students...
For this week, we were assigned a new task. We are supposed to implement AR (augmented reality) into our teaching material. I decided to do tour of a city. I chose one of the most famous cities in the world, London. This city is really well known so it was easy to find materials. I often used 360 Youtube videos for landmarks. British Museum, London Eye, Buckingham Palace. I also presented Chinese New Year Festival. I created some questions for students, using Canva then added QR codes of the Youtube videos. Rest was easy. I put together all of this and finished my task.
